1/2 D. ADDICTIVE!

1/2 DAY: A STROLL TROUGH THE MEDINA.
The Medina of Marrakech. To be enjoyed with moderation. Every time I have time, I escape into the Medina. If you want peace, you go early in the morning and if you are a person who likes to be surrounded by the hustle and bustle, then the afternoon hours are suitable for you.
The first times I have always been accompanied by a local guide, but once you feel at home and are familiar with local customs, you can quietly go out on your own.
This time I started in the tanners' quarter, a picturesque place, with a scent to it, where you will be amazed by the hard work involved in leather-working techniques. My walk then continued from Bab Aylane to Mederssa Ben Youssef (16th century) where I will not enter this time. My attention goes to the typical old neighbourhoods where you find the caravanserais and the communal ovens. Furthermore, you will encounter the small markets for the local population build around fountains.

And last but not least the hammams that are an inseparable part of the Moroccan lifestyle. A meeting with the inhabitants of the Medina is a self-evident part and completes this addictive walk.
