Sean Connery who for many will remain the one and only James bond has died October 31st at the blessed age of 90 years in the Bahamas where he lived.


But Sean Connery was much more than the character in the Ian fleming movies.


Sean Connery leaves behind a series of cinematic accomplishments, sealed by his 1988 Academy Award for his role in "The Untouchables". His performance alongside other film icons such as Kevin Costner, Charles Martin Smith, Andy García and Robert De Niro earned him the Oscar for best supporting actor.


Sean Connery had a special connection with Marrakech and Marocco for many years, as he explained when he was honoured at the film festival of Marrakech in 2004.

Marrakech was not only the city where he met his wife ,the Moroccan-French painter Micheline Roquebrune ,during a golf tournament in 1970 ,with which he married 5 years later in 1975. 1975 was also the year he shot the film i "The man who would be king". in Ourzazate
