Gueliz has developed enormously in the last 15 years.

But also local designers and artists found their way back to Gueliz where they sell and show their latest works in galleries such as the Gandouri gallery. From traditional to creative to haute cuisine, Gueliz is the place to be for all tastes and budgets.

The latest trendy restaurants can be found in "Rue Moulay Ali".

If you are looking for local food then you have the best grill address at 5 minutes walking distance in "Bejgueni" and if you long for street food then you have a whole selection in the

"Rue Mohammed el Bequal".

But if you are looking for just a lovely terrace with a great history, then you also have one in particular. Located in Guéliz, outside the ramparts of the Medina, Grand café de la Poste was built in the twenties, under the French protectorate. It was both a renowned café and a post office station and had a new start in 2005 after being closed for a few years. Since then, it has been the place to be for a coffee, an aperitif or a tasty snack.
