MARRAKECH in THE NEW YORK TIMES LIST: 52 PLACES TO LOVE IN 2021
Exceptional situations call for exceptional measures. The New York Times thought so too when it was time to compile its annual list of favourite destinations. This time the question was slightly different and the New York Times asked its readers which destinations have delighted, inspired and comforted them in this dark year. From the 2000 suggestions they received, they then selected 52 to show that the world still has a lot of nice destinations that are worth visiting. The fact that Marrakech ended up twelfth in this compiled list must be a boost for us as Marrakchi and certainly with this changed scenario. As a reference for Marrakech, there is a beautiful declaration of love for Marrakech written by Jennifer Borch, who taught at the University of Marrakech and lived in the Medina for a long time.
In any case, I recommend everyone to read this article as it is a nice start to getting to know different destinations through the eyes of a person, where the destination has left an indelible impression.
