Forbes Travel Magazine is as no other connected to luxury travel and has presented these days the awards for 2021.

Founded by Mobil and Simon & Schuster in 1958, Forbes Travel Guide is the oldest travel guide in the United States and only started compiling an international guide in 2008.

HOW ARE IMPRESSIONS COLLECTED?

Their points system is straightforward.

Their anonymous in-house trained inspectors stay at the hotel for a minimum duration of 2 nights. During this stay, they go through a checklist that can include up to 900 different items. When they check out, they pay like any other guest. When awarding, the guest's personal experiences ( anonymous inspector) are added to the overall assessment.

HOW MANY AWARDS HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED ANNUALLY BY FORBES TRAVEL GUIDE?

In 2021 FORBES TRAVEL GUIDE awarded 1870 awards. If we compare this amount with other prestigious awards it might seem a lot but if we keep the data below in mind the significance of these awards is only reinforced.

The city with the most hotels is in Beijing, China with 4,169 hotels.

The city with the most 5* hotels is in London with 75, closely followed by Dubai with 61.

Luxury hotel statistics shows there are over 4,400 4 and 5-star hotels around the world.
